The 2018 Agriculture Improvement Act, often referred to as the Federal Farm Bill, federally removed hemp from the list of controlled substances. Under this law, hemp is classified as any form of cannabis containing less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight, setting it apart from marijuana.
